As summer comes to an end in the Texas Hill Country the heat starts to fade away and kids head back to school. The Texas heat can be a little too hot for many this far south, and many of the traditional summer activities in the great outdoors like going to the lake and beach can be more enjoyable in the fall. There are some great events during the weekends over the next few months. Many of the Texas Hill Country towns host an October Fest and other musical festivals. September and October are great months to hit the water before the weather cools off. The Hunting season kicks off with Dove in September and the highly anticipated deer rifle season starts on November 3. Throw in a little football, camping, and a romantic getaway to a vineyard and you have the perfect recipe for some fun in the Texas Hill Country.
